Family Legend claims that my grandmother and John's first wife, Viola J. Dye died suddenly from a massive heart
attack when coming home in a carraige from church. At this time it seems that John lived in the Camp Branch area of Shelby
County, Alabama where all of his Roach family lived. It is assumed that after her death, he then made his way to Sylacauga,
Alabama in Talladega County. He also remarried when he moved to Sylacauga although I have not been able to locate her
name. The couple never had any children. John was also buried next to his first wife in Shelby County, Al. John
